As (Variably) tolerant as religions can be of other religions, all religions in order to conserve their identity and veracity to origins, find a greater threat in (mis)interpretations of their immutable truths and variations that are sectarian and close to home. Somehow some far off exotic other religions don't pose the same threat because they don't chip away at the foundation of the religion and don't offer as clear a path of choice of an alternate reading.
Alon Perlmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00155776897189144501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13758431.post-79487855359831859652013-01-04T23:40:29.835-08:002013-01-04T23:40:29.835-08:00Anon 8:10, nobody cares about your not caring....j...Anon 8:10, nobody cares about your not caring....just sayin'..... :-) Really, why is it so important to you to comment?

Sewertoons AKA Lynette Tornatzkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04501351678541088868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13758431.post-16119074048609996962013-01-04T21:01:55.082-08:002013-01-04T21:01:55.082-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13758431.post-65031298669081076512013-01-03T08:06:19.187-08:002013-01-03T08:06:19.187-08:00Sounds so very much like the history of the sewer ...Sounds so very much like the history of the sewer monkey zealot tribes of Los Egos.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13758431.post-62144631937649762222013-01-03T04:06:20.452-08:002013-01-03T04:06:20.452-08:00Ah, yes. There in a joke is the History of Religion: Little tribal monkeys sectioning off into smaller tribes, each of which have The True Word, so think that that gives them permission to shove the other guy off the bridge. So I ran over and said "Stop! don't do it!"
"Why shouldn't I?" he said.
I said, "Well, there's so much to live for!" He said, "Like what?"
I said, "Well...are you religious or atheist?" He said, "Religious." I said, "Me too! Are you christian or buddhist?" He said, "Christian." I said, "Me too! Are you catholic or protestant?" He said, "Protestant."
I said, "Me too! Are you episcopalian or baptist?" He said, "Baptist!"
I said,"Wow! Me too! Are you baptist church of god or baptist church of the lord?" He said, "Baptist church of god!"
I said, "Me too! Are you original baptist church of god, or are you reformed baptist church of god?" He said,"Reformed Baptist church of god!"
I said, "Me too! Are you reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1879, or reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1915?" He said, "Reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1915!"
I said, "Die, heretic scum", and pushed him off. -- Emo Phillips Alon Perlmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00155776897189144501noreply@blogger.com
