Calhoun's Can(n)ons was originally published in 1990 in the (now defunct) Morro Bay, CA, Sun Bulletin, and since 1992 has continued in the various resurrections of the Los Osos, CA. Bay News, Bay Breeze, Bay News, Bay News-Tolosa Press. A few years ago, the Can(n)on was added to the Central Coast NewsMission blogsite. Ann Calhoun lives in Los Osos. Thank you Ann for not considering this Memorial Day worthy of a posting. Besides, you have more important issues to froth about; like continuing to promote the "Los Osos 45" and Ron Crawford's "Hideous Sewer Wars" rants.
Since the CDOs are "stupid, pointless, and wrong wrong wrong," you need to continue your cheer leadership support with blog spots and lawsuits that keep the RWQCB in their place.
Thanks so much for not spoiling the memories of my brothers and sisters who gave their lives so you could have the freedom to post this blog.
Oh good grief Anon 8:39 AM. Observance of this day does not have to be posted by every blogger. Observance might come privately, or by going to an event. Maybe it is just to personal to write about. Rag on Ann as is your right, but don't connect that to Memorial Day, it makes you look bad!
Gee, Anon 8:39,talk about projection. Here was your chance to post a lovely Memorial Day comment of your own and instead you wasted your space and time blathering on about the Sewer???
As far as I'm concerned, every day is Memorial Day -- or should be -- since the dying continues unabated. So here is a remembrance for all the dead of all the Flanders Fields all over the world: A beautiful butterfly, a beautiful flower, life renewing itself, always.
