But not for long . . .

It is probably not polite to laugh at silly dog behavior, but this really ought to win a prize! Good sense to move from the small chair to the larger one anyway!

Toones, actually, she's now claimed all three chairs since they afford her the opportunity to look out the window for approaching Tuareg Bandits ( or the UPS truck).

Sloughi's are very . . . interesting . . . dogs. This whole "thing" with the new chair was all her; the Queenly feigned indifference, the watchful side-glance, the sly, opportune moment, followed by the LaLaLaLaICan'tHearYou move to ward off any comment I might be uttering about WhatAreYouDoingInTheChair??

Sounds like a very smart breed, which of course for people means you have to be on your toes 24/7! Never a dull moment, I'd bet!

Yes. Not as cunning as Basenjis, (Sloughis are far "softer" dogs) but smart.

Long ago I had a Borzoi, also in that long-legged category of dogs, and she was just delightful! Very sensitive and intelligent too, but she wasn't cunning, must have been in that softer category! She thought she was a person I think. She got along with our cat too, but then this was a cat who chased two German Shepherds down the street....

Ah, Borzoi's are beautiful dogs.
