I don't know. Reminds me of Greenpeace's commercial awhile back... in a hushed voice..."every second, of every minute, of every hour, of every day we lose an acre of rain forest!" Wait a minute. How big is this rain forest? That's 86,400 acres every day?
Sincerely, M

M: if you google rainforest destruction, up comes rainforest facts: 1 1/2 acres are destroyed every second. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface. Now they cover 6% of the land. In 40 years they'll be gone unless we stop, and/or they'll be gone if the climate patterns change and the rain moves somewhere else and instead of the Amazon forest, we'll have the Great Amazon Desert.
